English Premier League this season has had enough drama both on and off the field. The defeat cycle was completed showing it is the most competitive league in the world. Sacking of managers was a good treat to media. With nothing clear so far, the later half awaits some huge excitements among the fans.
Here is a small analysis of top teams and their chances of glory.
Arsenal: The team that was booed 12 months ago for its 6th position at same time is now on summit. Red hot Ozil has been the biggest weapon for the gunners with 16 assists. Ramsey, Walcott, Giroud, too, have showed their class. This will be a perfect chance for Gunners as all the traditional rivals are struggling. Injuries that haunted the first half, will reduce and silverware is near the park, provided they don’t display unexpected flops like the ones against Southampton.
Leicester City: Struggling at the bottom last new year, now other teams are finding it difficult to remove them from the summit. Vardy, Mahrez, Kante have been outstanding. If they do well against the table toppers, they might even end up with the title. Ranieri will be more than happy with the European berth.
Manchester City: The way Manchester City started the season, they seemed to claim title with ease. But it faded away with injuries of Silva and Aguero . There will be some hope when they return along with their captain Kompany. With attack near perfection and defense near slum Pellegiri needs to rectify it soon and strong if title is his motive.
Manchester United: If Red wish to be seen as devils, they must start scoring goals. Van Gal must change his tactics to be back on winning way. 22 goals in 19 games, 40 winless days are not the stats for a title-aiming side. Top three will be the main motive with title hopes on sideline wishes.
Others: Crystal Palace have climbed the hill silently and are placed 5th. Performing well against big teams may boost chances of European ticket. Klopp has brought some brightness to Liverpool side and Sturridge return will boost his team. Top 4 finishes will be a good one. Struggling Chelsea may break to Top 7 if they perform well in matches to come. Retaining title seems to be unrealistic at current scenario. Tottenham have been on top of table but need improvement in overall performance if they need tastier fruits. Kane, Alli need to continue their midas touch.
