The world's no.1's 6-2 6-4 victory over Andy Murray earns him the tenth title of this year. It was his 14th consecutive final, a record itself for a single season and has 22 straight wins since the Cincinatti final earlier in August, where he lost to Roger Federer in straight sets.
Earlier Murray was looking to improve his record against Djocovic, but the in-form man finished the match in over 90 minutes without dropping any set. He committed many unforced errors (around 34) but he played better since the duo's last meeting, which was on October in Shanghai where Djocovic beat him 6-1 6-3 in the Semis.
Murray had a chance in second set where he was leading 3-2, but he lost that opportunity and Djocovic got the better of him by forcing him to make errors which resulted in his defeat, Murray's 10th defeat against Novak in eleven meetings. After the match Murray congratulated Novak for his No.1 spot for the fourth consecutive year and he hoped to come closer to that. On other side Novak wished him luck for Davis cup Final and London tour Finals.
The next tournament is the season finale in London from November 15-22. In 2015, Novak have more chances to defend his title there and end the season by winning his record seventh ATP Word Tour title of the season. Murray also told media that his main focus would be Davis cup final which will be on Nov 27-29 in Belgium and he was hoping to clinch that for his country.
