There is a lot of debate going on these days if Sachin is the greatest batsmen of all times or not. For me it’s an illogical debate because there is one logical reason to prove his greatness.
As we all know that India has a history of not producing fast bowlers for the country while countries like Australia, England, Pakistan, South Africa and West Indies have produced lot of not only fast but deadly bowlers.
How does it prove Sachin's greatness? I will explain. In domestic circuit and in the nets, Sachin gets to play bowlers with average speed of no more than 135km/hr but when he faces countries like Australia, England, Pakistan, South Africa and West Indies, he plays bowlers like Brett Lee, Shoaib Akhtar and many more who can bowl more than 145km/hr consistently.
Now, practicing with ordinary bowlers in India and scoring runs against greatest bowlers ever is simply outstanding.
The amount of runs he has scored on foreign soil against ace bowlers proves that he is the greatest batsmen world cricket has ever produced.
I know you may ask whether just this point supports his staying in the team! I have an answer to that, if I understand good cricket and understand how much Tendulkar has invested in this team, I would not need a single point more than the one I stated.
Let’s stop this debate right here and enjoy his batting till he is there.
