Winning the 2002 Asian Games Gold medal will always remain fresh in my mind. What else can be more special than standing tall on the podium with our national anthem being played in the background. It was my proudest moment and I am sure every Indian sportsperson dreams of this. I’m a very patriotic person at heart and I still remember how I got those goosebumps and was almost into tears when our national anthem was played at the medal ceremony. This memory will always be special because I was able to do my country proud by winning gold after 20 years.
