That bout is still fresh in my mind…

It was a shining morning and the day was important for my career and I could feel the butterflies in my stomach. When I was walking towards the ring, I had mixed emotions. I was scared and excited too. 32ndNational Games 2002 held in Hyderabad was an experience of the life time. Though according to my age at that time I was eligible for the Sub-Junior category, but I fought in the senior category and won gold. I was representing Manipur and my coach accompanied me to the competition. The shine I saw in his eyes after I won gold is something every trainee just desires about. I have won many medals till date but as every beginner, that day was a milestone for me and left an everlasting impression on me.
