It was indeed a proud moment for me…

Few days ago while cleaning my study room I came across with my old school magazine. Going through the pages I saw a photograph of mine holding a big Cup captioned ‘Inter-school champion’. It was quite nostalgic going through those pages and the photograph immediately brought back those memories. For a few moments, I nearly went back to that very moment when I was exhilarated on winning the 1500 metres race, which assured me of the cup.

It was the first time that any inter-school championship was held in our school and it was one of the toughest race I had ever won. While trailing at no five till the penultimate round, I won the race by a sudden burst of speed in the final round. Obviously my regular practice and endurance had made the difference. I received a standing ovation from the spectators, including my parents and that was indeed a proud moment.
