Amit Mishra bowled too well and we got bogged down in the middle: Dravid

Hyderabad: Embroiled in IPL spot-fixing controversy because of their three players, including S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chauhan who were arrested by Delhi Police on Thursday, Rajasthan Royals lost their match against Sunrisers Hyderabad by 23 runs here on Friday. Rajasthan skipper Rahul Dravid said that though they showed some good intensity on the field, they were probably one spinner short.

“We showed some good intensity on the field. But probably were a spinner light for this pitch. All credit to Sunrisers for scoring those runs. Amit Mishra bowled too well and we got bogged down in the middle. We have struggled on wickets like these which are slower and lower ones. Hopefully will have better wickets in the playoffs,” said Dravid.

Winning captain Cameroon White said that it's never smooth sailing against Rajasthan but his team fought hard. “We knew we were not too far away from a defendable target. We bowled and fielded well here. All credit to the guys for keeping their calm,” said Cameron.

Meanwhile, Amit Mishra, who was man-of-the-match, said, “I want to thank the crowd at Hyderabad. We are getting a lot of support. Not only me, the entire team is doing well and getting confidence by their encouragement. I thank god, for allowing me come back from injury and I am working hard on my game.”
