It would be a cracker of a match when Pune Warriors India (PWI) and Deccan Chargers (DC) meet at the Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium today. Both the teams would have lot at stake. Pune Warriors currently at number sixth position on the points table would be looking to claw back into the top four whereas Chargers down at the bottom of the table with just one point would want to register their first win of the Indian Premier League V. Going by the performance of both the teams Warriors look a certain favorite to win the match.

Both the teams have some good players who could change the tide in their team’s favor provided they perform to the best of their ability.

Here are the players on whom both the teams would depend a lot to emerge successful in their endeavor.

Pune Warriors India:

Sourav Ganguly: He has been impressive with his captaincy and his aura has done world of wonder to his team. But his performance has been quite on and off and he would look for consistency. Considering his resiliency, he would be itching to break free after a bad performance in the last match and Sangakkara would be wary of that. He is the player to watch and if he gets going, things can get very difficult for DC.

Manish Pandey: Sangakkara and Co would want this man can depart soon because if he stays on he can wreck havoc. DC would have some strategy for this stylish top order batsman and would definitely want to leash him.

Angelo Mathews: He has been bowling well and showed some very good skills and changed the pace beautifully. Warriors will once again be hoping that this talented cricketer from Sri Lanka plays up to his potential in this match.

Alfonso Thomas: PWI would want Thomas to come up with something special like the one against Delhi Daredevils in Delhi: He sure has lot of talents and his team would be expecting a lot from him.

Deccan Chargers:

Kumar Sangakkara: Kumar Sangakkara is not being able to play to this true worth and has been struggling. The skipper has to lead from the front if they want to reap success in this match as well as the subsequent matches.

Jean-Paul Duminy: Duminy is a regular member of the South African T20 team and is a very capable player. Duminy is very effective in rotating the strike and can hit some lusty blows whenever required. He is very effective in the end overs as he has the talent of picking the gaps. Duminy has played some special T20 innings and Deccan will be hoping that he can play some good innings now. He is also a very smart off-spinner with a good action and can be very effective.

Dale Steyn: The number one Test bowler in the world will take the new ball for the Chargers. Steyn is a very talented bowler and is already considered to be one of the best fast bowlers in the history of cricket. He is a genuine swing bowler and bowls at a fiery pace and can bowl some match changing spells and will be a threat to any batting line-up.

Amit Mishra: He may be struggling to get a place in the national team but he is a force to reckon to when it comes to IPL. He is one of the highest wicket takers in the history of IPL and is one of the most sought out bowler. Mishra is a genuine wicket taker and has the ability to induce batsmen into playing wrong shots. He can bowl some big leg-breaks and is a tough bowler to hit out of the ground.
