Dubai: Kevin Pietersen is back doing what he does the best. Striking form with his first ODI century since November 2008, finishing unbeaten on 111 against Pakistan, Pietersen is eagerly waiting for the Indian Premier League where he will be playing for Delhi Daredevils this year. The Englishman is looking forward to play under Virender Sehwag and terms Delhi Daredevils, which has players of the likes of Mahela Jayawardene, David Warner others, to be a strong contender in IPLV.

“I am eagerly waiting to play under Virender Sehwag. He is an entertainer and a superstar. It would be magnificent to play alongside him,” said Pietersen.

Terming his shift from Deccan Chargers to Delhi Daredevils to be a big move for him, Pietersen said that he would love playing for the Delhi team. “Though I did not get to play for Deccan Chargers because of a surgery last season, I loved playing for Bangalore and I am waiting to play for Delhi Daredevils,” said Pietersen, stating that Delhi daredevils seem to be a very strong team.

“With players like Mahela, Warner and promising fast bowlers like Varun Aaron and Umesh Yadav, Delhi Daredevils have a great chance this season,” he said.

Pietersen is also of the view that IPL has helped in developing a bond between the players. “It’s a great platform where youngsters can learn a lot from the seniors. IPL has made the game a lot better, as it has helped in forging bonds between players from different countries playing for a franchisee,” said the Englishman, adding that he share a good relationship with Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli.
