A heady mix of hard work, skill makes Vinay the new ‘blued eyed boy’

There seems to be a ‘New kid in the block’ in the Indian Cricket team. Vinay Kumar has most unlikely emerged as the top wicket-taker for India in the on-going ODI tri-series.

The young pacer, who made his Test debut in Perth last month, understands the huge difference that international and domestic cricket engulfs.

India’s outgoing bowling coach Eric Simons seems to be going “ga –ga” over Vinay’s hard work, determination and his skills. The coach, who is now on his last assignment with the team, calls Kumar one of the most exciting young fast bowlers in the world today.

Vinay has been appreciated of having come back with a bang after the debut and do well in the same tour. Calling him just a hard worker could be a half made sentence, rather calling him a bull with hard work and strategy on his side is something that may describe him.

Vinay knows his areas of improvement and is constantly working on them. Though this blue eyed boy has impressed quite a many during this tournament, he is yet to bowl under the pressure of having to defend runs.
