Wishing a speedy recovery to Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, who was the man-of-the-match in the ODI match against Australia, said that Yuvraj Singh belonged to the place where they are and prayed for his speedy recovery. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, too, wished Yuvraj the best and hoped the champion would be back on the field soon.
“There is a message for a very good friend. We want Yuvraj to get well soon. This is the place where he belongs to and we are missing him a lot. I will take this opportunity to wish my good friend Yuvraj Singh a speedy recovery. May you get well soon,” said Gambhir during the presentation ceremony.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni also wished Yuvi a speedy recovery, saying that Yuvraj loves challenges and he will come out strong. "He will get well soon, he is someone who loves challenges and I believe he will come out strong," Dhoni said about Yuvraj after leading his side to a four-wicket win over Australia in the ODI tri-series here.
Meanwhile, the entire nation is praying for Yuvraj Singh’s quick recovery from cancer. Yuvi has begun his chemotherapy sessions and has been keeping in touch with his fans and well wishers through social networking site Twitter.
Apart from his fans, Bollywood too has sent its good wishes to the cricketer and Yuvi has responded to each of his friends. Actor Amitabh Bachchan had tweeted that he was shocked to hear about Yuvraj’s illness had offered support to the cricketer. Yuvi too got back by saying, “Thank your for wishes sir! I’m getting better every day.”
Actor Bipasha Basu too sent him a ‘get well soon’ tweet, “Think of strength n power n u will draw it to u. Think of health and u get it! Love!” Yuvi replied, “thank u my dear.” Actor Preity Zinta posted, “Get Well Soon Yuvi! Ur a fighter & I have no doubt that u will come out of this fit n strong! My prayers are with U! Lotza love” while he replied, “Thank you preity! Hope you r well xx.”
