Players to watch out for: Delhi Daredevils vs Kings XI Punjab

Delhi Daredevils are out of the tournament having won only two matches out of their 13 played so far and looks like a side who does not wish to play anymore having lost so many matches. Kevin Pietersen would be looking for positives at the end of the match which might help them to rebuild in the coming year. Punjab on the other hand have won most of their matches and are sitting pretty at the top of the table. They would be looking to try their bench strength and explore all their options.

Here is a look at the players to watch out for in the match between Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab:

Delhi Daredevils

J P Duminy:
Duminy by far has been their best player with the bat in hand in a season where most of their players have struggled to come up with the goods. Duminy have given their innings the late flourish which has helped the Daredevils to get to a competitive score in most of their matches and is also a key exponent with the ball in hand. His off-spinners have come in more than handy for his team.

Kedhar Jadhav:
Kedhar Jadhav also looks a player in good form and that he has been all throughout the domestic season where he has scored more than 1100 runs in the Ranji Trophy. Jadhav is a clean striker of the ball and can score pretty quickly when the moment comes which makes him an asset to his side.

Mohammad Shami:
Mohammad Shami has to come to the party this time for his team as he has been pretty off colour all throughout the tournament. His form with the ball in hand is crucial for Delhi as he can strike with the new ball and wickets are the only thing which Delhi Daredevils have struggled to pick up in this season.

Imran Tahir: Imran Tahir is a very good buy by the Delhi Daredevils as he is a very smart operator with the ball in hand. Tahir has been very successful in the shortest format of the game and has done a very good job for South Africa. Tahir has looked more than a capable bowler to pick up a wicket in this tournament and can turn the tables in his favour with his leg-spinners.

Kings XI Punjab

Virender Sehwag:
Virender Sehwag has had a pretty good tournament with the bat in hand but does not have more than one big score to show for in the tournament. He has got off to a start in every match so far but has failed to capitalize on the starts.

Manan Vohra:
Vohra is one of the most talented players in the country and he has shown every one why he is one of the emerging players to watch out for. Vohra’s form with the bat has also been pretty good as he just like Sehwag has got off to a start but has failed to transform that into a big one. With the kind of ability he has it is just a matter of time before he gets his act together and gets that big score we all have been waiting for Kings Xi Punjab.

Mitchel Johnson: Johnson can rattle any batsmen with his pace and when he gets it to swing with that pace it becomes almost unplayable making life difficult for the batters. Johnson has been expensive with the ball in hand so far in the tournament but a bowler like him will always be dangerous for any side as he can literally run through a side before even they can realise it.

Sandeep Sharma:
Sandeep Sharma has been a real find for India as well as for Kings Xi Punjab in this tournament. Sharma is young and enthusiastic and has the ability to swing the ball both ways which can trouble any batsmen in the world. He has a knack of picking up early wickets which can always set up the match for Kings XI Punjab.
