Abhinav Bindra lying third after qualificaion round in 10-m air rifle event

New Delhi: Ravi Kumar of Air Force is on the top while Olympic gold winner Abhinav Bindra is third in the 10-metre Air Rifle event's qualification round at National Shooting Championship on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Chain Singh of Army topped the 50m 3 position Rifle event at Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Ranges, New Delhi.

In the qualification round at 10-metre range, Ravi Kumar scored 624 for the top spot, while Olympian Sanjeev Rajput of Navy was second with 622.5 followed by Olympic champion Abhinav Bindra of Punjab, who scored 622.3 points.

Pratik Borse of Maharashtra is leading at a score of 612.6 in the youth category of 10m Rifle men, followed by Anil Kumar of Madhya Pradesh with 604.5 while Maharashtra's Amit Aanantwad shot 604.4 and is just 0.1 point behind the second shooter.


Chain Singh of Army scored good and is leading in the 50m 3 Position Rifle with 1159 points. Surendra Singh Rathore is second with 1156 points and is followed by Kapil Rana with 1150 points.

Navdeep Singh Rathore of Madhya Pradesh topped the junior men's 50m 3 Position Rifle with a score of 1121 points and is followed by Shubham Malik of Air Force with 1120 points. Shubhankar Pramanick of West Bengal is on third place with a score of 1116 points.
