New Delhi: Sardar Singh is upbeat to make his debut in the 2013 European Hockey League as he has been roped in by the HC Bloemendaal to fill in the big boots of Teun de Nooijer, who is one of the legends of the game. It would be for the second time that Sardar would be playing in such kind of league.
Earlier, at the beginning of the year, Sardar has played for Delhi Waveriders in the Hockey India League and he is looking to take his game to the next level when he joins Bloemendaal, which is one of the oldest field hockey teams in The Netherlands. Indian skipper knows how important this learning curve it turn out to be when he is going to be the part of the one of the most competitive league in the world.
Apart from picking up Indian skipper, Bloemendaal have also decided to avail the services of Belgian international stars Tom Boon and Simon Gougnard. This move has primarily been made to strengthen the squad to see their quick return to the EHL as they have failed to qualify for the upcoming season of the world's premier club competition.
