Delhi Daredevils vs Kolkata Knight Riders: Players to watch out for in IPL Match No. 44

Delhi Daredevils are ready to rumble against the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders. Both the teams have not lived up to the expectations but they would be looking for a fresh start. DD have the likes of David Warner and Virender Sehwag while Sunil Narine will once again be the trump card for KKR. KKR has quartet of Manvinder Bisla, Gautam Gambhir, Jacques Kallis and Eoin Morgan who have been brilliant in this season and would be looking to come hard on Umesh Yadav and Irfan Pathan.

Here we bring to you the players to watch out for in the match between Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders

Delhi Daredevils (DD)

Virender Sehwag: Sehwag has got some good starts and would be looking to make it big against KKR. Sehwag was looking in great touch in the last match and his presence at the crease is enough to give opposition a nightmare. He would relish playing against the slow bowlers of KKR who are very much out of from this season.

David Warner: Warner played a sensational knock of 51 runs off just 25 balls and would be looking to continue that magnificent form against KKR. His ability to take on the bowlers early in his innings makes him a dynamite player in the DD’s middle order.

Umesh Yadav: Yadav picked up couple of wickets in the death overs and gave DD a convincing victory in their last match. He picked up the big wickets of Yuvraj Singh and Luke Wright and denied Pune an easy win. His variation in pace was the key along with his presence of mind which earned him those wickets.

Irfan Pathan: Pathan has bowled three maiden overs in the sixth edition of IPL and would be looking to put some good performance once again. He dismissed the Pune Warriors opening duo in his third over and gave Delhi a sense of relief with his brilliant bowling. He ended up with the figures of 2/29 in four overs.

Kedar Jadhav: Kedar Jadhav has been the most promising lower order batsmen for Delhi Daredevils. He played a cameo of 25 runs off just 19 balls to help his team to put up a stiff total of 164. He should be promoted up the order so that he can play more deliveries to prove his usefulness.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

Gautam Gambhir: Gambhir has not done much in last couple of matches but he is a big-match player and would be looking to come hard against the likes of Umesh Yadav and Shahbaz Nadeem. On the Raipur wicket, the ball comes on to the bat but is a bit slow which will give him an advantage as he step down the pitch to smack it over the ropes.

Manvinder Bisla: Bisla has scored two back to back half centuries and would be looking to get another one when he will face the bowling attack of Delhi Daredevils.  He has played two knocks in which he batted till the very end and also gave his team that stability in the initial overs by steading the ship.

Eoin Morgan: Morgan has been in prime form this season and he can be the impact player for KKR in this match. He can be really dangerous if he comes onto bat at number four as he can bat till the end and keep the scoreboard ticking.

Sunil Narine: Narine has been the strike bowler for KKR and it’s will be interesting to see how he tackles the likes of Virender Sehwag and David Warner. The pitch at Raipur might assist his bowling style. He was bit expensive in the last match as he gave away 35 runs in four overs.

Jacques Kallis: Kallis can come in very handy with the bat on this track as his experience to hold the innings together will create a significant difference in the mid-overs. His bowling was not up to the mark in the last match and he would be looking to make a strong comeback against DD.
