Here we bring to you the players who can make the difference for their teams their opening match of the sixth edition of Indian Premier League.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SH)

Kumar Sangakkara: Kumar Sangakkara will be looking for a great start for his team in this season of Indian Premier League. He has got the nice balance of youngsters and senior pros in his team and he as the skipper will have to marshal his resources well. With the amount of experience he carries with him, he for sure would play a vital role not just as a captain but also as a batsman. He just needs to make sure that Sunrisers keep performing consistently.

Dale Steyn: Steyn-gun is back to set the field on fire. His pace has always been a trouble for the batsmen around the world and add to that his pin-point accuracy, he has been an unplayable bowler. He has been in brilliant form all this summer and would surely be looking to continue his good run in IPl. There is no better bowler in the modern cricketing era who can bowl better Yorkers than him and he is a great asset for his team. He will be the trump card for their success in this edition of IPL.

Ishant Sharma: Ishant missed out the last season of IPL because of the injury but he has been in terrific form off late and if he continues to bowl with same accuracy then Pune batsmen will find themselves in big trouble. Bowling in tandem with Steyn will surely give loads of stability to the Hyderabad in bowling department. Duo of Steyn and Ishant will be deadly if they get the ball move in the air and off the pitch too. Their wicket taking ability will seal the fate of Hyderabad this season.

Cameron White: White had the brilliant last season where he ended up scoring five half-centuries with a terrific average of43.54 with an impressive strike rate of 149.68. White is not just good only with the bat but he can roll his arm over too. His right-arm leg spin will give Sangakkara an additional bowling option on the dustbowl wicket of Hyderabad.

Parthiv Patel: Parthiv is a pocket-size dynamo and can be of great use while opening the innings. He has been in decent form in domestic circuit and will surely be looking for a god run in IPL too. Earlier he played for Chennai Super Kings and has played some very good innings. This time he would be looking to give blazing starts to Hyderabad and keep them in hunt .

Pune Warriors (PW)

Yuvraj Singh: Yuvraj is back to rule his favourite format of the game. He has tremendous T20 skills which can surely change the fortunes of Pune Warriors. His ability to clear the boundary with ease makes him one of the most dangerous T20 batsman. He is one of the few players who can change the course of the game in just a matter of few overs, not just with a bat but with his china-man bowling too. The way he chips in with wickets at regular intervals with his slower one adds volumes of strength to his team.

Angelo Matthews: Matthews has been roped in as captain of Pune team because of his dazzling all-round ability which will help the Warriors to turn the tables in their favour. He has some good set of players in his squad and he a s the captain will have to use them to their best abilities. He has been the captain of T20 side of Sri-Lanka and led his side really well in Australia. Matthews will be have a lot to prove not just as a player but also as a captain in this season.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar: Bowling sensation of Indian cricket is in terrific form and would be looking to persist with it. His swing bowling has caught a lot of eyeballs and he has been rewarded with lots of praises for those exceptional spells of swing bowling. His rawness has been his strength and to make himself more effective, he bowls his quota of overs at trot. He can be very handy with the bat too as he has opened innings for Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy matches.

Steve Smith: Steve Smith is a very dynamic player and his ability to galvanize his inning makes him a cornerstone of middle-order. His all-round ability will resolve the issues of picking up an extra spinner for the low and slow track of Hyderabad. His foot-work against spinners makes him a class-apart player and with some good scores under his belt in the Test series against India, he would be looking to add some variety to the bowling attack of Pune Warriors.

Marlon Samuels: Samuels did enjoy his stint at Big Bash and is looking confident of repeating his success in the Indian Premier League. His spinning skills had earned him a lot of praises from Shane Warne and Matthews will be looking forward to exploit them in their opening match of the tournament. His all-round ability will be very crucial especially when Pune will play on spin tracks all across the country. In the manner he deceives the batsmen with his quicker ones, is a treat to watch.
