Clarke decides to play with lone spinner

Chennai: Australian skipper Michael Clarke is ready to learn from his mistakes if his decision to wrap up the Indian batting line-up with quadruplet of pace bowlers doesn’t click in the First Test in Chennai.

"I have made plenty of mistakes before and it won't surprise me if I make another. But the focus is selecting our best XI. And if that does not work, we will reassess ourselves for the second Test," Clarke said at a news conference.

"We need to play the Australian way and stick to our strengths. I am confident if we can execute our skills, we can have success here," he said.

Visiting captain has roped in just one spinner in Nathan Lyon for the first Test. Aussies have done something what England tried in their first Test against India in Ahmedabad and it back fired for English team.

"I certainly watched the Test matches against England. After the first Test they brought in Panesar and had a huge impact. So, you have to learn from that. But it would be silly to play like somebody else. “
