New Delhi: The players auction for the sixth season of the Indian Premier League will be held on February 3, 2013. The auction has been postponed due to a clash with India-England ODI series scheduled from January 11-27.
Earlier it was announced that defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders will face Delhi Daredevils in the inaugural match of the IPL 6 at Eden Gardens on April 3.
The tournament will also see Sunrisers Hyderabad for the first time. They will face Pune Warriors in their first match on April 5.
The Qualifier 1 and Eliminator games will be played at the M A Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
The Qualifier 2 encounter and the Final, will be played at the Eden Gardens.
