It could not have got worse than this for the defending Champions Mumbai Indians as they ended their Champions League T20 campaign without a win.


Mumbai taking on the most impressive side of the tournament Sydney Sixers did well with the ball and restricted them to 136. It looked like Mumbai would finally have a win against their name but then they made a heavy weather of the chase and lost the match by 12 runs.


Sixers are now the only team to register four out of four wins.

Steven Smith
: The young all-rounder was the main man responsible for helping Sydney reach a competitive total. On a day when other batsmen were not able to negotiate with the Mumbai bowlers, he held on to his nerve and scored a run a ball 41 that was laced with three boundaries.


Phil Cummins
: Cummins spearheaded Sixers bowling in the match and picked up two crucial wickets. He generated pace and swing from the pitch and took two wickets by giving away just 16 runs in four overs.


Flops:


Brad Haddin
: It was required for him to rise up to the occasion in the match against Mumbai, but then the skipper was out for a  first ball duck.

Harbhajan Singh
: Harbhajan Singh was an unlikely hero with the bat. With the asking rate climbing, the skipper led a late charge and scored a 22 off 9 balls including three fours and a six. It was unfortunate that he could not win the match for his team. With the ball, he was economical as well and scored gave away 22 runs and took a wicket.


Munaf Patel
: Patel was the most impressive bowler for Mumbai. He was bang on with his line and length and took two wickets b giving away just 17 runs.

: Keiron Pollard was a key man for them in the chase but then he played irresponsibly and was out for just four runs.
