New Delhi: Flamboyant batsman Kevin Pietersen has been included in England’s Test squad that will tour India in November thus bringing an ending his exile from international cricket.
The decision to include Peiterson came after he had a meeting with England’s coach Andy Flower, Alistair Cook and a number of other senior players and members of England team management earlier this week.
Pietersen who scored a match saving century in the last Test he played for England against South Africa two months has been missing from action since. He was dropped from the side due to the ugly text message row to South African players which allegedly had content related to then England skipper Andrew Strauss.
The ECB dealt the matter very strictly and not only dropped him from the remaining South Africa but also did not offer him a central contract.
Delighted with his selection, Pietersen tweeted: "BOOOOOOOOM!! The happiest days of my career have been playing cricket for ENG. Long may that continue! Thanks everyone for your kind words."
England squad: Alastair Cook (capt), James Anderson, Jonny Bairstow, Ian Bell, Tim Bresnan, Stuart Broad, Nick Compton, Steven Finn, Eoin Morgan, Graham Onions, Monty Panesar, Samit Patel, Kevin Pietersen, Matt Prior, Joe Root, Graeme Swann, Jonathan Trott
