Visakhapatnam: The first T20 match between India and New Zealand holds much more importance than the outcome of it. It is true that the Indian team will be desperate to win their first match against the Kiwis. India-New Zealand have played three matches in the past and the Men In Blue have been on the losing side in all three of them. It is quite amazing fact as Indian team have been one of the strongest in this format and Kiwis have always had their troubles.
But, apart from the keen contest, this match will see some players from either sides return to the field. Let’s have a look at some of the players who will make a comeback in the match at Visakhapatnam.
Yuvraj Singh: His has been an inspirational journey. The man responsible for India winning both the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup is back into the Indian squad after successfully fighting cancer. Yuvraj, who was man of the tournament in both 2007 and 2011, was diagnosed with cancer and has been out of action since the India-Sri Lanka finals. He has made a dream comeback and the whole world will stop when the 'Yuvraj' of Indian cricket will take the field on Saturday. Everything else will take the back seat.
Harbhajan Singh: He has done a lot for Indian cricket and has fought several battles in the Indian colors and have won almost all of them. Harbhajan Singh has been out of action since the England tour and it will be interesting to see how he react to that when he will have either the ball or the bat in his hands. He has been preparing very hard for his comeback and this is a perfect opportunity for him to shine again. People have said that Harbhajan hasn’t done much to earn his comeback and Bhajji will be itching to prove all his critics wrong.
Daniel Vettori: He has been the back-bone of New Zealand cricket from more than a decade. He is one of the craftiest spinners in the world and his batting has come of ages. New Zealand dearly missed his services in the Test matches and they will be relieved that the veteran is back from his groin injury and is ready to play.
