Chaos mars at cricket academy inauguration by Kohli

New Delhi: It was a lucky escape for star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli as thousands of people mobbed him in the Sanatan Dharam Higher Secondary School (Kirti Nagar), where he had come to inaugurate a cricket academy.

Kohli was the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the academy M L Kumar West Delhi Cricket Academy which will be run his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma.

It was a very poorly organised programme and the crowd gathered were not civilized enough to stick to the rules. Children and elderly people alike got up onto the stage for autographs and even the policemen on duty were caught off-guard as they were looking visibly awe-struck.

Till the time he was on the dias, things were still looking manageable but once he stepped into the ground to cut the ribbon all hell broke loose and more than 1000 fans barged into the stage to catch a glimpse of their hero.

Kohli just faced a delivery to mark the academy open and somehow luckily sneaked into his car.
