India vs NZ: Rain halts India’s charge

Bangalore: Indian team was cruising after the lunch interval with both Pujara and Tendulkar hitting some crispy shots, but the rain interrupted the play as the players walked out off the ground with India needing another 114 runs to win the series 2-0.

India were 88/2 at lunch and things looked tense for the home team, but both Pujara and Sachin settled the nerves with some attacking batting straight after the lunch interval.
Pujara is luck to be on the crease as Brendon McCullum missed an easy stumping chance of the bowling of Jeetan Patel.

Sachin and Pujara were involved in an unbeaten stand of 64 runs before rain came.

Brief Score: Day 4:

New Zealand: New Zealand: 365 & 248 (Franklin 41, Taylor 35, Ashwin 5-69)

India: 353 & 147/2 (Pujara 41*, Sehwag 38, Patel 1-17)
