Bangalore: Pragyan Ojha has put India take upper-hand over New Zealand in the opening session of second Test at the Chinnaswamy Stadium here today.
The left arm spinner ended the first session with a spell of 2-24 as the hosts went into the break with 108-3.
Captain Ross Taylor was batting on 27 and Daniel Flynn was on 7.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni asked Ojha to open the bowling, a move that surprised everyone but then he lived up to his captain’s expectations as he was scalped the wickets of Kane Williamson (17) and well set Martin Guptill (53).
However the first victim of the day was Brendon McCullum who was out for a duck after Zaheer Khan trapped in-front of the wicket.
India who are 1-0 up in the series.
