Indian team practices hard ahead of first Test against New Zealand

Hyderabad: Indian team is not leaving anything to chance as the team went through a hard training session ahead of the first match of the two match Test series against New Zealand schedule to start on Aug. 23.

The team started the day by playing football and then got down to some serious business at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

The Training session saw the Indian team focusing on all the three aspects of the game. Sachin Tendulkar had a prolonged net session. Other batsmen like Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli also had a good net.

Indian bowling is the team’s weakness and a special focus was given on the bowlers. Ishant Sharma who is making a comeback had a good bowling session followed by Umesh Yadav.

MS Dhoni (C), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Ajinkya Rahane, Piyush Chawla, Ishant Sharma, Suresh Raina, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, R Ashwin, Zaheer Khan, Pragyan Ojha, Umesh Yadav.
