Dubai: Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar and the new Indian vice-captain Virat Kohli have been nominated for the top ICC Awards 2012. Kohli has been nominated for two awards, cricketer of the Year and ODI Cricketer of the Year.

Sachin Tendulkar has been nominated for ICC People’s Choice award along with Kumar Sangakkara, Vernon Philander, Jacques Kallis and James Anderson.

Indian captain MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir have also been nominated for the ODI Cricketer of the Year alongside Virat Kohli.

It is not surprising to see that no Indian was nominated for Test Cricketer of the Year award following India’s eight straight losses.
