Usain Bolt’s loss to Yohan Blake in the Jamaican Nationals few months back made everyone speculate that he might not be the same force that he used to be and his Olympic crown was in danger.

But then he dismissed all speculations with his 9.63s run in the finals of the 100m sprint at the Olympic Stadium in London and has indeed made a huge statement through his performance that he is indeed the “King of Sprint” when it comes to the big stage.

He was competing with an illustrious filed that included Tyson Gay, current World champion Yohan Blake and Justin Gatlin. He made all his rivals bite dust and after so much of conjectures he finally stood and established his supremacy again.

5: 100 meters sprint at London Olympics 2012: He came into the event following a loss in the World Championships at Daegu after he was disqualified owing to a false start. Things did not change for him as he lost again in the Jamaican Nationals few months later. His loss in Daegu brought an end to his 14 match winning streak. His Olympic crown was in jeopardy and everyone thought that he might be past his prime but then he stunned the illustrious field to win the racein 9.63s setting a new Olympic record.
Soon after the win he posed in his ‘To Di World’ stance to rubbish all claims that he is past his prime.

4: 200 meters dash at 2008 Beijing Olympics: He already made his mark in Beijing after he won the 100 meters sprint. Coming into the race he was seen as one of the favorites but then he did something which very few had expected. He not only won the race but he clocked 19:30s to smash the American sprinter Michael Johnson’s record which stood since 1996.

3: 100 meters in Beijing Olympics: This was his first Olympic medal. He came into the event as the world record holder, he completed his sprint in 9.69 to smash his own record.

2: World record 200 metres dash in Berlin: He entered the tournament with huge reputation and he did something which made him one of the greatest athletes of all times. Bolt who owned the world record in the 200 meters sprint outdid his own record and clocked to 19:30s to become the new World champion and also had a new world record.

1: Mother of all sprints at the World championships at Berlin: He smashed his own record at the World Championships with a timing of 9.58 a record which stood unchallenged and no sprinters till date including Bolt himself could come anywhere close to it.
