Bangalore: Yuvraj Singh is on a sabbatical from cricket since last November due to a rare germ cell cancer played his first practice match and hit 47 playing for KSCA XI against India U-19 Team who is preparing for the Youth World Cup.

Yuvraj who has been named in the 30 man probables list for the T20 World cup is great signs and it looks like he would get in proper shape for the T20 extravaganza to be held in Sri Lanka in September.

"Finally played my first practice game after 8 months! Got 47 of 70 balls bowled 5 overs fielded 30 overs. Not bad for a start!!” tweeted Yuvi after the match.
