London: PK Muralidharan Raja has been named as the acting Chef-de-Mission of the Indian contingent for the 2012 London Olympics after Ajitpal Singh could not reach due to health ailments.
Raja, who was the Deputy Chef-de-Mission was promoted after Singh could not come to London due to severe spondylitis.
"Raja has been asked to act as acting Chef-de-Mission because of Ajitpal Singh's illness,"Vijay Kumar Malhotra, acting president of Indian Olympic Association said.
