Yuvraj is back in nets, but making a comeback in the team will be far more difficult

Yuvraj Singh has been a fighter since the time he made his debut in the Indian team and in the recent times he has not only fougght the deadliest of disease but is recovering very well from the physically strenuous chemotherapy.

Yuvraj Singh, who is on a sabbatical from cricket from last November, has taken his first step to make a comeback to competitive cricket after he successfully concluded his first net session at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. The left-hander after the net session said that it wasn't bad for the first time after about six months. Yuvraj also admitted that he got tired after about 15 minutes but hoped that every day will be a better day.

Yuvraj, who was very happy after his net practice, is eying a comeback in the national team for the T20 World Cup to be played be in Sri Lanka in September. But things look tough for this flamboyant batsman. He has been out of the team from quite a long time and apart from his health, there will also be some other factors which will decide his involvement with the team.

Yuvraj has been one of the most prolific athletes of the Indian Team for a long time and after his illness can he maintain same kind of energy level on the field?  Returning to international action requires lot more than practicing in the nets and he will know it better than others being in the game for more than a decade.

Making a comeback in the T20 squad will not be an easy task for him because in his absence, some players have become a permanent fixture in the team. And as always IPL performance will be taken into account and unfortunately Yuvraj missed that tournament as well. So finding a place in the team could be a real problem for him.

Like on occasions when players are dropped due to their performance they still continue to play domestic cricket, but for Yuvraj he has been out of cricket completely. He is a proven customer for the team and does deserve a chance to play, butt then in his absence some young players have done really well and ignoring their performance will be difficult for the team management.

The path seems to be a tough but not an impossible one. The man who won India the World Cup, has been through difficult times in the past as well and he has emerged as a true champion. The whole world wants to see this man back on the cricket field because that is where he belongs and one thing is for sure that Yuvraj will not leave any stone unturned to make his comeback.
