Euro 2012--Russia vs Greece: Players to watch out for…

Russia, who have played some great football in the Euro 2012, is all set to take on Greece in a bid to cruise into the knockout stages of the tournament. Russia have looked the strongest team in their pool and do start as a clear favorite against Greece in the important tie.

Both the teams have good players at their disposal and their respective team would want them to fire.
Here are the players to watch out for:

Greece:

Sokratis Papastathopoulos: He is the backbone of Greece’s defence and has let only five goals in the qualifying matches. He did well in the tournament his team would want a good performance if they would want to foil Russia's plan.

Georgios Samaras: He would be the man responsible to lead the Greece’s attack and would definitely look to make inroads in the match. He is a proven striker and the team would depend on him a lot.

Russia:

Andrei Arshavin: He is the biggest name in the Russian Football presently and has been performing well in the previous few matches. He has been a livewire and looked threatening. He has been at the heart of all Russian moves in the tournament and Russia would depend on him a lot in this match.

Yuri Zhirkov: He has been a constant threat on the left and has linked well with Arshavin. He gets into good position many a times and does produce some deadly crosses.
