Euro 2012--Italy vs Croatia: Players to watch out for…

Italy would take on the Croatia in a crucial encounter of the Group C matchup of the 2012 Euro Cup. Both the teams had contrasting luck in their previous match with Croatia winning comprehensively against Ireland whereas Italy fought a hard battle to draw against Spain.

Now the match holds great significance for both the teams so expect them to come all guns out and try hard to push for a win tonight.

Both the teams have some great players in their ranks and the outcome of the match would depend on how these players perform.

Here are the players to watch out for:

Italy:

Mario Balotelli: The biggest name currently in the Italian Football, Balotelli is extremely talented and has been an integral part of the Manchester City squad that won the EPL this season. He is extremely dangerous and would be leading the Azurri’s attack. He was off colours in the previous match but would try to make amends in tonight’s important tie.

Di Natale: He has hit form at the right time and had a decent season with his club Udinese. He is a natural goal scorer and in all likelihood will partner Balotelli up in the front. Croatia would be wary of him and will definitely have a strategy for him.

Thiago Motta: He had a superb game in their last match against Spain and he would be looking to continue that. The crafty midfielder would be responsible for creating moves for Italy and would lead the midfield.

Croatia:

Luka Modric: The Tottenham striker has been linked to Chelsea due to his great season in the EPL. He is a very creative midfielder and his experience would help the Croatian midfield a lot. Had a decent game against Ireland, Modric would like to replicate his EPL form in today’s match.

Mario Mandzukic: He scored two goals in the last match and would be riding high on confidence. He was at the top of his game and kept on pushing the Irish defenders to the wall. He would be leading the attack for Croatia today and his team would want him to keep up his good run.
