EURO Cup 2012: Players to watch out for…

EURO Cup 2012 has already rolled and the inaugural night of the tournament did not fail to deliver on the expected as co-hosts Poland holding 2004 Champions 1-1, whereas in the second match Russia beat Czechoslovakia 4-1.

With so much action going down on the first night and many top players lined up for the tournament expect the temperature to reach its ultimate level.

Many players would be looking to make mark, but here are the five players to watch out for in the tournament:

Robin Van Versie (Netherlands):
He has scored 37 goals for the English Premier side Arsenal in the last season and finished as the highest goal of the English Premier League. He is would be responsible for leading the Netherland attack and if he maintain his current form things could get difficult for the team. He is one of the best finishers present in the world and his accuracy is what makes him very difficult. Lot would depend on him and his performance will determine as to how far Netherlands go in the tournament.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal):
Christiano Ronaldo, skipper of the Portugal who had a great season with Real Madrid and for the second consecutive times breached the 40 league goals in the Primera Liga. The forward would have a lot on his shoulder and even being one of the best sides of the competition they would have to fight out it real hard to get past the first hurdle as they are grouped with Netherlands and Germany in the group of death. This would add an extra responsibility on Ronaldo and if he carries his form, expect him to change the course of the match with his immaculate striking.

Robert Lewandowski (Poland):
He has already shown the kind of form he is in and he proved that after scoring 22 goals in the German Bundesliga for Borrusia Dortmund, he is ready to take in to the international level. The 23 year old striker has scored the opening goal of the tournament against Greece which helped them to draw their first match. He would be a player to watch out for and the host would depend on him a lot.
Mario Gomez (Germany): He has been the highest goal scorer for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga with 26 goals and Germany would want to this young prolific striker to maintain the same kind of run in the tournament.

Andres Iniesta (Spain):
How can anyone keep this man out of something like this. Iniesta perhaps the best playmaker of the tournament would have a lot of role to play and the defending Champions Spain would depend on this man who plays club football at FC Barcelona to feed the forwards with passes that could be created into goals.
