With Sachin Tendulkar having already taken oath as a Member of the Parliament (Rajya Sabha) on Monday, the day for sure would not be forgotten in a jiffy and Sachin Tendulkar who has been synonymous to cricket in India for the first time would be seen in a different role.

His decision to don Khadi (attributed to Parliamentarians) is surely a path breaking event and his presence at the Parliament could do wonders for the country. His decision to join politics has drawn mixed reactions and people all over the country are pondering as to how a humble, down to earth cricketing legend fit into this world of politics.

Sachin is a person who knows what to do when and how to go about and had it not been the case, he would not have been able to survive in this strenuous profession for 22 years. People have raised doubts about his dual role as it might affect his game. But had it been that way, the Little Master would not have decided to join the Parliament.
