New Delhi: The latest controversy related to IPL that is stealing the news currently is the omission of Kapil Dev’s name from the list of IPL beneficiaries. But, BCCI has tried to clear the air saying that his name was missing only because of "technical issue".

IPL Chairman Rajeev Shukla explained the issue saying that the BCCI does not have anything against Kapil Dev and the reason for his omission was technical.

He explained that Kapil has not accepted the amnesty proposal which was made by the BCCI and he is out of the benefit ambit technically.

Kapil has earlier said that BCCI are the boss and it is up to them whether call to provide him the one-time monetary benefit or not.

BCCI earlier did not invite the legendary captain for the functions at the four IPL venues where the former players got the cheques.
