New Delhi: Indian Premier League was surrounded by a lot of controversies throughout this season and to not let it repeat authorities will put forward some strong guidelines for all the franchises to ensure that nothing like that happens in the upcoming seasons of the cash-rich league.
This year’s IPL faced a lot of controversies, topping the list was a sting operation which showed IPL players involving in the controversial spot-fixing, later the players were banned. There was also a charge of molestation that was filed against a player from Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Then there was an instance which saw an IPL owner get into a tussle with MCA officials, resulting in the authorities banning him to enter the Wankhede stadium for five years.
Rajiv Shukla has shown concerns that that IPL can suffer because of these controversies and the authorities will make it sure that no such thing is repeated in the future. Shukla said that players who will engage in any sort of wrong-doings will face major consequences and will advice the franchises to also be careful against such activities.
Shukla clarified that all those controversies did not had much affect on the end result as this season was a very successful one. He said that people related to the tournament and it was a hit, but he said that the organizing committee will try everything to stop the things that happened this season.
