It was the last match for Pune Warriors India (PWI) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and both the teams went in with different aim and eventually it was Kolkata who succeeded in their endeavor. Pune Warriors for whom the match was a medium to sign off the tournament on a high note but they failed miserably and lost the match by 34 runs. The win now has taken KKR to the second spot on the table whereas they Pune stayed at number eight.

Brendon McCullum: McCullum did not play in his signature fluent way but still had a major hand in helping KKR reach 136 which turned out to be the eventual winning score. He scored 41 of 43 deliveries and laced with five fours.
All rounder Shakib Al Hasan: Hasan who has not been a regular feature of the side made sure that he grabbed the opportunities with both hands whenever it came to him. Yesterday was an example to that. First up he scored 42 off 30 deliveries which included three fours and two sixes. Later with the ball he took two crucial wickets to make sure that his team emerges a winner.
Flops:
Batting: KKR has won majority of the matches due to their batting unit. But then yesterday they failed and even though they lost only four wickets they could score only 136.

Bowling: Pune Warriors India displayed a clinical performance with the ball and go on top of the KKR batting line-up which has been performing well throughout the tournament. Even though they could not take many wickets they kept the innings run rate under seven runs per over.
Flops:
Batting: They were asked to chase a target of 136 and they could not. They failed miserably and surrendered meekly to KKR bowling. They were bundled out for 102.
