IPL Match 68--Deccan Chargers vs Rajasthan Royals: Players to watch out for…

Rajasthan Royals will take on Deccan Chargers in a must win game in the ongoing Indian Premier League. Royals are still in with a chance to making it to the playoffs, but for that to happen they will have to win both their remaining matches.

Royals were never expected to make it to the top four, but they have played some good cricket with limited resources that they had to reach the position. They however, will be a bit nervous going into a match against a team which has nothing to lose.

Chargers also have a reason to strive hard for a win, if they win both their remaining matches they might move up a ladder and leave the bottom position that has been there since the time tournament started.

Let’s have a look at some of the players who can make a difference in today’s contest.

Deccan Chargers:

Cameron White: The massive Australian has played some tremendous innings in this season and it is unfortunate to see the bowlers not backing his performance. He is one of the leading run-scorer and his runs have come at a blistering strike rate. He has been very consistent in the recent matches and Royals will be worried because of his form.

Shikhar Dhawan: He has had a dream tournament. T20 was never considered to be his forte but he has changed it all with his sheer determination. He is the leading run-scorer for Chargers and is in top five highest run-getter’s list. Dhawan provides the early stability that is so very important for any team.

Dale Steyn: Steyn will not be happy with his performance in this season. He has bowled some unplayable spells in the tournament, but he has bowled some pretty ordinary ones as well. He will be looking to end the tournament on a high.

Daniel Christian: A lot was expected from this Aussie all-rounder but he has not lived up to the expectations. He did play some good little innings but his bowling has been ordinary. He has leaked runs in the tournament and will be looking to leave an impression in the last few matches.

Rajasthan Royals:

Rahul Dravid: Dravid has had a brilliant tournament with the bat; he has led his side well and has provided the calming influence to the team. He provides the opportunity for the other batsmen to explode from the other end and plays some good shots in-between. Dravid will know how important a win is for his team and he will be looking to lead the team from the front once again.

Brad Hodge: The last time the two teams met it was Hodge’s late hitting that won Rajasthan the match. He is dangerous in the death overs and does not take much time in changing gears.

Ajit Chandila: He bowled a sensational spell against Pune Warriors and won Rajasthan the match in his four overs. He is the only bowler to have taken a hat-trick in this season and his captain will be hoping a similar sort of a spell from him.

Shaun Tait: He has changed the fortunes for his team since the time he was included in the playing eleven. Tait has been bowling with a lot of fire and is one of the most economical bowlers of the tournament. He bowls at a rapid pace and can be deadly with his Yorkers.
