Kolkata: It was a convincing win for Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens here on Saturday and acknowledging the same, Royal Challengers Bangalore swashbuckling batsman Chris Gayle said that all credit should be given to KKR batsman, especially Gautam Gambhir for posting such an imposing target on a slow wicket like this.
"On this wicket 190 was an imposing target. Eden Garden wicket is slow and low and credit goes to their batsmen especially Gambhir for scoring the total they did," Gayle said after the match which his team lost by 47 runs.
Gayle, who earlier played for the KKR, said he had no hard feelings against his former team.
"There are no hard feelings. We are like a family. Both the teams play aggressive cricket and play for victory. Unfortunately, I had to be on the losing side in both of our games...that's life," he said.
"Shah Rukh is a very friendly person. I have been a part of his team earlier and he is a respectable and loving man. Win or lose there is no love lost from his point of view," said Gayle about KKR co-owner and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
He also hoped his team will bounce back in the tournament.
"There are still some matches left and we hope to do well and possibly bounce back in the tournament." (IANS)
