Kolkata: Buoyed by his good all-round shows in the current domestic cricket season, Laxmi Ratan Shukla is now looking forward to interacting with Kolkata Kight Riders' new sports psychologist Rudi Webster to further improve his performance in the upcoming Indian Premier League.
Interacting with media persons after the practice session of the KKR at the Eden Gardens, Shukla said he wanted to work with Webster on his determination for long stays at the crease.
"I want to talk to him about my hunger for an even better show and how I can work on my determination of staying at the crease for longer periods," Shukla said.
Praising Webster, who managed the great West Indies side led by Clive Lloyd in the 1970s, Shukla said: "The best thing about him is his open-mindedness. It is good to have someone who can work on players' mental aspects".
Shukla and KKR coach Trevor Bayliss has already had a long interaction. "After he got to know of my performance this season, he himself wanted to talk to me," said Shukla. (IANS)
