New Delhi: Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar conveyed her "heartiest congratulations" to Sachin Tendulkar for being the first cricketer in the history of the game to score 100 international centuries. Sachin achieved the feat against Bangladesh in the fourth match of the Asia Cup.

In her congratulatory message, Meira Kumar said: "I congratulate Sachin for this outstanding achievement."

The speaker said that the Indian cricketer "throughout his illustrious career has shown rare combination of mastery, fortitude and dedication towards the game that has enthralled the people across the world".
