Asia Cup: Sri Lanka to face unpredictable Pakistan

Mirpur: Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka in the third match of the ongoing Asia Cup. The match is very important for both the sides as every team play only once with the other team and losing the match may see the team going out of the tournament.

Asia Cup: Sri Lanka to face unpredictable Pakistan Pakistan has one win against their name when Bangladesh presented them the victory. Sri Lanka is yet to play the sub-continent minnows and going by the losing habit of Bangladesh they will fancy themselves to win that match.

Despite their loss against India, the Lankans will go into the match as favorites. Even against the Indians the Lankans were cruising away to victory before a middle-order crash that saw them fell short by 50 runs.

Pakistan played there sort of cricket against the Bangladeshis, from a winning position they found themselves in loosing scenario and it was the blunders that the opponent’s batsmen made that gave Pakistanis the win. Pakistan is dependent on their bowling far too much and there will be a time when they will fail, like against the recently concluded one-day series against England.

Sri Lanka also has some worries going into the match, their key players Angelo Mathews and Lasith Malinga are not expected to play. With Mathews not in the team, the Lankan middle-order looks weak as all their in-form batsmen bat at the top of the order.

With the unpredictable Pakistani team, one think is clear that the match will keep the viewers interested throughout the game as one never knows when this team can turn the table around.
