Pujara to make a comeback in the national team?

New Delhi: India has suffered eight straight losses in test matches and is looking down the barrel. The big three of Indian batting are closer to the end of their career. Indian selector will have a tough task ahead of them in finding the replacement of the batting legends.

One name that comes straight to mind is of Cheteshwar Pujara. Pujara has played 3 test matches for India before getting injured. He has a highest score of 72 which he scored against Australia at a crucial stage of the match.

Pujara played in the South Africa test series in 2010-2011 and impressed one and all. He did not have high scores against his name but the way he tacked Dale Steyn and company was pretty impressive.

The recent tours of England and Australia have showed that India have to quickly find the replacement for some of the senior pros as nothing is going right for the Indian batting line up. Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina have already blown away the chances that they got in the test cricket and have shown their weakness in tough batting conditions. India has to fill three spaces in their batting line-up and one of them can be very well occupied by the Saurashtra batsman.

Pujara has a terrific domestic record and has shown his hunger for run. Provide he do well on the fitness account, he could very well become a permanent face in the Indian test batting line-up.
