Hobart: Australian fast bowler Brett Lee denied that he purposely came in the way of Sachin. He tweeted that he would never block Sachin Tendulkar when he is running between the wickets. The incident took place in the last match when Gautam Gambhir called for a single after hitting the ball towards point. Sachin responded to Gambhir’s call but failed to reach on time as Lee’s extended follow through ended right in front of Sachin. David Warner who was fielding at point found a direct hit with Sachin well short of his crease.

Sachin was visibly animated at that point. Indian Captain, MS Dhoni criticized Lee’s action in the presentation ceremony, “Lee had no business standing in Sachin’s way, because of his action Sachin had to take more strides and that cost him his wicket.”
