New Delhi: India shall be participating in the International Super Series and 34th Men’s FIH Champions Trophy in Australia.

Selection trials to select the Indian team were conducted at SAI Centre, Netaji Subash Institute of Sports in Patiala from 25 - 27 October 2012, witnessed by Hockey India Selectors Col. Balbir Singh, B.P Govinda and Thoiba Singh as well as Government Observer Harbinder Singh and Chief Coach Michael Nobbs.

The Indian team will take part in the International Super Series at Perth in Australia from 22 to 25 November 2012. The tournament will also feature England, Australia and Pakistan. India will open its campaign against England on 22 November followed by matches against Australia and Pakistan.

The International Super Series will be followed by the FIH Champions Trophy at the State Netball Hockey Centre in Melbourne from 1 to 9 December 2012. India is placed in Pool A with England, Germany and New Zealand while the hosts Australia, Belgium, Netherlands and Pakistan are in Pool B. India will open its campaign against England on 1 December followed by matches against New Zealand and Germany on 2 and 4 December respectively.

The 18 member squad will be captained by Midfielder Sardar Singh while Fullback VR Raghunath will be the Vice-Captain.
