New Delhi: Hockey India (HI) has announced the Women’s squad for the Double Leg Four Nation Tournament to be held at Auckland, New Zealand from 12- 22 April 2012.
The selection committee comprising of Col. Balbir Singh, B.P Govinda and Syed Ali on the basis of a selection trial camp in SAI centre, Bhopal decided on an 18 member squad and also selected Ritu Rani as the captain the side. Joydeep Kaur has been selected as Ritu’s deputy said an official HI release.
The four nation tournament will feature Australia, India, New Zealand, USA and would be played in two phases. The first leg will be played at North Harbour Hockey Centre while the second one will be played at Lloyd Elsmore Reserve.
