Prom Meesawat who suffered a play-off defeat from Anirban Lahiri in the recently concluded SAIL-SBI Open at the Delhi Golf Club, is hopeful of ending the long wait of winning his second Asian Tour at the Panasonic event.
“I’m very confident with how I’ve been playing especially since this is the start of the season and it gives me the confidence to go out there and try to win my second title this season,” said Prom.
Meesawat who last won an Asian Tour in 2006 at the Telecom Open in Korea has been in a good form recently. He he finished tied sixth in the Avantha Masters in India and was the runner-up last week.
I was very happy with my two-week stay in India despite losing in the play-off. There were a couple of putts which should have gone in but it was still a good result,” said the talented player from Thailand.
