Sharad Arora and Aditi Ashok: Teeing Off for a better future

Bangalore: KGA Golf Course today witnessed the fourth leg of the Callaway Golf Junior Tour in association with K&A Golf.  After three tournaments in Gurgaon, the fourth out of the 8 league events of this prestigious tournament was a spectacular game in Bangalore.


It was a indeed a spectacle to watch Sharad Arora have hole in 1 on the 4th hole today! He won a great game with 29 points leading in Category B boys.

After a great start, the 14 year old golf champion from Bangalore, Aditi Ashok gave her best shot in fourth leg of the Callaway Golf Junior Tour! Setting the stage right for a better future in golf, Aditi won the game against the best juniors of her category including Ankita Kedlaya.

Taking the right swings, Aditi has brought laurels in the Malaysia Open Junior Golf and Women’s Pro Golf Tour recently.

Right from the tee off, Aditi’s concentration and passion showed up during this event where she scored two birdies. A wonderful game left the crowd gaping and they were all cheer for her. Smiling at her victory, the ace said, “I am thankful to Callaway for introducing the Callaway Golf Junior Tour in India this time, the more opportunities we get here, the more we will shine!” Talking about the tournament, Aditi mentioned, “The weather and the conditions were perfect for this game today and this paved way for another victory for me.”

Winning in a playoff in the Category E, 8 year old Krishang Nayak, birdied in the first hole.

The weather was perfect at the KGA golf course, one of the best courses in India for such right swings and all the junior golfers of the city spent a wonderful weekend playing exciting golf. The enthusiasm was on top of every face that was present for the event.

The goodie bags that had Callaway caps and balls, added to the cheer of the ocassion. The members of the Callaway Golf Junior Tour also got the Callaway t shirts.

After this fourth event, the juniors are looking forward to rest of the 4 events of the Callaway Junior Tour which will be held in Kolkata, Pune and Chandigarh. The winners and runners up from the tour events will play the tour championship from where two winners will feature in the Callaway Junior World Championship in San Diego, USA, next year.
