Md Nawab enjoys 2-stroke lead after round two

Md NawabJaipur: Md Nawab of Patna enjoys a two-stroke lead at four-under-136 after round two of the PGTI Feeder Tour event being played at the Rambagh Golf Club in Jaipur. Nawab shot a four-under-66 in round two. Aditya Bhandarkar of Pune, Indore’s Aditya Singh Chauhan, Dayal Singh of Chandigarh and Lucknow’s Bhoop Singh are placed tied second at two-under-138.

The cut was declared at five over 145. Thirrty-nine professionals made the cut for the third and final round scheduled to be played on Thursday, May 10.


Md Nawab’s (70-66) second round featured seven birdies and three bogeys. He sank a 15-feet birdie putt on the 12th and narrowly missed out on eagles on the 17th and eighth thanks to some great hitting.

Nawab said, “I putted better than round one despite making three three-putts. I hit it close through the day and narrowly missed out on two eagle opportunities. I’ll need to focus on my second shots and making maximum greens in regulation in the final round.”

Aditya Bhandarkar (71-67), Aditya Singh Chauhan (70-68), Dayal Singh (66-72) and Bhoop Singh (69-69) are placed tied second at two-under-138.

Vishal Singh (69-70) of Jaipur shares sixth place along with five others at one-under-139.
