New Delhi: Anirban Lahiri is all set to defend his title in the second edition of the Panasonic Open India which will be held at Delhi Golf Club (DGC) from March 29 to April 1.
Indian star Anirban Lahiri will defend his title against a strong line-up of Asian Tour players including Thai legend Thaworn Wiratchant, and Prom Meesawat, Peter Karmis of South Africa and newly crowned HANDA FALDO Cambodian Classic winner, David Lipsky of the United States.
“I have always enjoyed playing in Delhi Golf Club and would like to carry on doing so. I know that the expectations will be higher from me as I am the defending champion and I would try my best to retain the title”, said Lahiri.
The US$300,000 Panasonic Open India will be broadcasted live and will see some of the best Indian and international players.
“I am looking forward to play in the tournament. I have been playing at the DGC from a very early stage and will look to take that experience in the tournament. DGC has always been a good hunting ground for the Indians and I hope it will continue to do so”, said Manav Jaini.
About the tournament Manav said, “I played well in this tournament last year and was very close to winning. I would like to repeat my performance.”
